During the Enlightenment, ideas travelled as far and wide as music did. This concert, performed by Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques, is a testimony to the mutual influences Mozart and his fellow composers had on one another – be they Antonio Salieri, Vincente Martin y Soler or Giuseppe Sarti. Discover this fascinating piece of history through Mozart’s Symphony n°36, and opera and concert arias sang by the barytone Benjamin Appl, a worthy successor to Dietrich Fischer-Diskau as one of his last pupils.
