Insula orchestra opens this new season by celebrating one of its favourite composers: Ludwig van Beethoven. His sole violin concerto, a virtuosic and expressive piece, will be interpreted by the sensitive bow of Alexandra Conunova and conducted by Laurence Equilbey. She will also take on the challenge of his Third Symphony, “Eroica”: a grandiose work performed, for the occasion, by a double-strength orchestra, as in Beethoven’s time!
