À propos

Insula orchestra pays tribute to Georges Bizet! As his Carmen carries on touring the world, Laurence Equilbey and cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière – first prize winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2017 – have brought together a gallery of romantics around France’s most famous musician: Jules Massenet – and his highly demanding Fantaisie for cello and orchestra – and the lyrical composer Théodore Dubois. Between emblematic pieces from Carmen or L’Arlésienne and delightful rediscoveries, Bizet brings the cheerfulness of spring to the orchestra.
